Tokyo International Cruise Terminal
OVERVIEW

On September 10, 2020, the Tokyo International Cruise Terminal opened in Aomi, Koto Ward, as a new sea gateway for Tokyo. We produced the video to be shown on the large LED vision and LCD signage installed at this facility.
Based on the concept of a "hospitality video" that will reach the hearts of all those who visit the terminal, we have produced the terminal space in three situations: when entering the port, when staying there, and when departing. We are in charge of everything from content proposals to filming, video production, and direction of background music production.

Visual effects at the time of arrival in hopes of meeting new people and visiting new towns
The footage of the ship arriving at the terminal was produced with an eye towards creating a surprise that would create a sense of anticipation for those who disembark at the terminal.
The 12-screen LCD signage shows Japan's iconic figures, such as sumo wrestlers and kabuki actors, welcoming visitors with impressive poses and gestures. After that, the video shifts to a "tourism experience video" in which visitors leaving the terminal tour Tokyo's landmarks. The video takes visitors to the tourist spots around the terminal, such as Tokyo Tower, Skytree, and Kaminarimon in Asakusa, and introduces them through food, culture, and the lives of the people.
Our goal was not only to fully convey the charm of Tokyo within the limited time of arrival, but also to create a production that would create a sense of anticipation for the new people and places that await the passengers.

Providing a luxurious experience during your stay at the terminal
To create a spatial presentation for the stay, we created videos with themes of "boat voyage" and "movement on the water." With the desire to provide an elegant experience for those staying at the terminal, we proposed videos that would allow them to feel the pleasant flow of water and the yearning for a boat voyage. Specifically, we seamlessly linked together various aerial images shot by a drone, including people swimming, canoes, and large ships sailing, to express the beautiful movement of water. The videos and music were used to create a sense of unity throughout the building, creating a relaxed atmosphere throughout the terminal.
This video was produced in two different sizes so that it could be simultaneously shown not only on the large LED monitor installed on the third floor, but also on the LCD signage on the second floor. Since high resolution is required for the video to be shown on the large LED monitor, it was shot with a hyper drone, an ultra-high definition camera that supports 8K. In this way, flapper3 is also capable of shooting using the latest high-performance equipment.

A farewell that reminds you of the start of a new journey while still enjoying the afterglow of sightseeing.
What we were most conscious of when creating the video for the departure was to create a production that would remind people of the encounters and experiences they had on their trip, and make them feel like they want to come back again. We created a video that would convey the charms of the terminal and Tokyo, including footage that would allow people to linger on the afterglow of their trip and focus on people's encounters and partings.
